New Years Eve 2005

I went to the Hyatt downtown Houston with some friends and Patricia for New Years Eve. The balloon drop was the highlight of the night. The lobby of the hotel was hollow all the way to the top and the balloons fell all the way down. We were drowning in a sea of balloons before they were all popped. So very very loud. Like being in a empty grain bin with a box of firecrackers going off.

Christmas in Las Vegas

Patricia and I flew to Las Vegas at Christmas to meet up with some friends of mine from Calgary. My family wasn't too pleased that I didn't come home but too bad! We had great fun.

I thought I should do some catching up on pictures that I have acquired since moving to Houston. Here I am at the Alamo in San Antonio. Here are some pics from the Big Bend national park in Texas. We went there on a "team-building" trip with my work team from BP. It was a heck of a long drive from Houston.

Move to Houston

This is the San Brisas Apartment homes. My new home away from home for at least one year. Houston was hot when we arrived but winter is just perfect.

This is my Feb 11th crash

The grey car hit us from behind - or in the the front as it slid sideways past us from behind. Really, it hit us. We were stopped at a red light. The blue car was the one that caused the grey car to hit us. And the blue mini-van with very little damage but still not drivable is mine.
